I was watching TV when a commercial of a certain beauty pageant caught my attention. The contestants were parading their countries' national costumes. I wasn't sure if it was Ms. Thailand or Ms. Cambodia, but I was so captivated with the "crown" on her head. It seemed that it was made of golden wires formed like "8" and there was only one big precious stone at the center, and it was worn like this (in the drawing).

I was so inspired by that piece so I drew my version and made mine exaggerated in design; it was my first time to draw something like this.

I had fun drawing the crown as well as her hair. Honestly, I was undecided on what kind of hair I'm going to draw - if long, wavy or straight.. but in the end, I chose to draw her hair somewhat fixed, & I liked the outcome!

Anyway, this is one of my favorite drawings!

She looks pretty sweet for me, and I really love looking at her face and how she stares. And believe it or not, I can no longer draw someone like her because I can't repeat exactly what I drew already. This could be probably my first and last.

It's a story of an ordinary girl who doesn't belong to any royal families and soon became a queen of a kingdom after the cruel & wicked queen was dethroned...

I was inspired by a Korean drama, Queen Seon Deok.
